I am waiting to get all of your permission slips confirmed by the office to post pictures on the blog. I can't wait to start sharing!
Yahoo is currently running a campaign to help fund projects on Donor's Choose. What, you've never heard of Donor's Choose? Donor's Choose is an awesome site designed by a public school teacher. It connects donors to projects submitted by public school teachers. I have had seven grants funded through this program. All of them used in your children's classroom on a daily basis, from the rug they sit on to some of the technology they use. In fact, we just received 420 books this past week that were funded by Donor's Choose. Occasionally there will be opportunities for you to help fund these projects without giving actual money. Right now, you can go to the link below and register for Yahoo; Homepages for Homerooms. You can vote for my project and you will have opportunities to answer a trivia question each week and vote again. You will receive two emails a week from Yahoo during the campaign, but you can stop these emails as soon as the campaign is over. I did sign up last week and waited a week to make sure that I wasn't asking you to sign up for something that would give you a ton of extra email :) I received just two emails this week.
